Job Description

A radiologic technologist creates medical images of the body using equipment like X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to help doctors diagnose and treat diseases and injuries. They are responsible for patient positioning, operating the equipment, adjusting settings, and ensuring radiation safety, and they may also assist in procedures and administer contrast agents.

Associate's degrees are available through the St. Mary’s School of Radiologic Imaging. BridgeValley Community and Technical College is seeking accreditation for its program - Bachelor’s degrees are available through St.Mary’s/Marshall University and the University of Charleston, and can streamline pathways to specialization and higher earning potential
